Mending split ends
Those splits are probably caused by excessive styling, especially if you have very fine or coarse hair, and can be remedied with a little extra care. First, after shampooing, use a conditioner containing Echinacea or keratin proteins – both coat hair to seal splits. After towel drying, apply a leave-in conditioner to protect your tresses from heat styling. When wielding a blow dryer, aim the nozzle at your roots and the midlength part of your hair, avoiding your ends so you don’t burn them. Finally, lay off the flat iron – use it twice a week max – and let locks air-dry as often as possible.
